Resources

I've tried a variety of tools, and I would love to tell you about all of them, but too many choices can lead to what is known as paralysis analysis. It can also cause you to waste time trying them out so in order to keep the list to a reasonable length I'll limit my recommendations to what I am currently using or to what I consider a top tool that I have used.

As a reminder, because I wish to remain transparent, some of these are tools that I am an affiliate for. That means a percentage of your purchase will go to me, however it will not increase what you pay to use them.

In addition I want you to remember that while these are tools designed to help you, they are not an easy button to success, and that even includes any courses I may recommend now or in the future.

Hosting

Siteground-This is the only host with Cpanel that I currently use. They have incredible uptime, and I've literally never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get support on the phone, or in chat.

Domain Name Registration

Namecheap-I've tried other domain registrars, but their interface and customer service won me over. That along with cheap pricing makes them my go-to choice when I need a domain name.

Email Marketing

ActiveCampaign-There are a lot of email marketing platforms out there, but few can offer the advanced segmentation that Active Campaign does.

Website/Landing Page Creation

Thrive Architect-This is a WordPress only option that can be use to build websites or landing pages. I would suggest getting the entire suite of tools commonly known as Thrive Themes.

Leadpages-This is another service that allows you to build landing pages. It isn't specific to WordPress so it can be a great alternative to Thrive Leads.

Clickfunnels-This is the most popular out of the options I mentioned there. I wouldn't suggest it for a full website, but it is great for building sales funnels, and integrates nicely with Stripe to take payments.

Analytics and Testing

Google Analytics-This is something you should be using if you want to track website metrics and user behavior, even if you also incorporate other paid options.

Keyword Research/SEO/Spy Tools

Serpstat-I got this one off of an Appsumo deal. It's good for SEO, and PPC keyword research. It also reveals backlinks that are going to a website, and has a ton of other features.

Video/Audio Equipment

ATR-2100-There are a lot of microphones you can use to record your voice. At $99 this is the one I recommend. Even some more expensive microphones don't sound as good.

Productivity

Workflowly-This free tool has greatly increased my productivity, and it only takes a few minutes to learn how to use. It's one of the best tools at building lists. If you go through this link you get 250 additional monthly uses, and yes it will still be free for you to use.

Online File Storage

Google Drive/Google Doc-This is free for anyone with a Google/Gmail account. You can use it to work on a document with anyone anywhere in the world.

Dropbox-This service allows you to transfer any file you want to their servers. If you make an edit to the file on your computer then the version they're storing is also edited, and you use it for free. If you need more space then a Terabyte is only 9.99 a month.

Website Management

Filezilla-Filezilla is an FTP client. You an use it to upload plugins and themes to your WordPress site. You can also use it to alter other files for your site. It's free.

Google Search Console-This is essential to managing your website on the backend. One situation you can use it for would be if Google thought your website had broken one of their rules. You could go here to fix it.

Coffeecup HTML Editor: Earlier I mentioned Filezilla, and how it allows you to later files on your site. Many of them can be altered in notepad, but it's better to use an html editor such as Coffeecup.

WordPress Themes

Themeforest is where I get all of my themes from now. They have a wide selection of top level premium them.

Graphic Design

Canva-This free online service allows you to add images, and text to create something of your own. You can choose backgrounds that are pre-formatted for Facebook and other services, and it's free.

GIMP-GIMP is an advanced image editing software that is comparable to photoshop, and it's free. You can use it for Windows or Linux.

Funnel Design

Draw.io-This site allows you to design flow charts which be used by marketers like us for sales funnels,
